Kezar Lake Watershed Association
The Kezar Lake Watershed Association (KLWA) is a non-profit organization managed by a rotating board of 15 trustees, representing all sections of the lake and the watershed ponds with residential development.
Members are invited to attend and participate in the annual summer meetings as well as keep abreast of current events and issues through the KLWA newsletter, delivered to the membership twice a year.
- The KLWA closely monitors lake-related legislation and advocates for lake protection in testimony before Maine State Legislative Committees.
- Maintains a comprehensive, scientifically-based water quality research and monitoring program.
- Works with local officials to promote safety, protect water quality and encourage responsible stewardship of Kezar Lake and its watershed.
- Encourages understanding of the lake and watershed resources through public forums, workshops and the distribution of educational publications.
